We are a local Senior Center within the Shelby, Ohio Community focused on serving our area seniors and our community, with a safe and inviting atmosphere centered around friends and family. 

Our organization is thankful for the continued support of our local businesses, community partners, as well as the many people that call Shelby home. 

The Shelby Community and Senior Center mainly serves our senior population through a variety of program offerings that include:

Twice-Monthly BP/Sugar checks by Shelby Health Dept.

We operate through charitable donations, memberships, rentals of the facility, grants and memorial contributions. Unlike other area Senior Centers, our particular organization does not receive levy monies or continual state funding. We rely solely on the generosity of our community, funding partners and members to keep our doors open and our programming viable.

Because of our on-going relationships, partnerships, generosity of our community and some integral donations of time and talents by highly skilled individuals, Shelby Community and Senior Center was able do some much needed security, computer and safety updates to the interior of our building.  We've enhanced the technical infrastructure this past year and added new microphones, wiring and audio equipment to our building offerings. 

We have been able to bring the Senior Center more current with regard to security, not only in the office space, but throughout the whole interior of the building. 

We hope to continue to build upon the established foundation as we continue to grow, evolve and add to the wonderful things we've accomlished thus far in 2025!

GOALS for 2026:

It is our goal to implement an added level of security to the exterior and entrances of the building, matching what we now have in place inside the facility. We will eventually need to replace the exterior lighting around the building, as they are not very bright and some of the wiring is beginning to malfunction in inclement weather. We have some errosion issues needing to be addressed very soon as well around the foundation and parking lot. All of these things, though partially aesthetic in nature, are important for the safety of all those that use our parking lot, entrances and handicap spaces. 

Our Board of Directors, Leadership and Members are ever-thankful for the continued support from our friends and our community in your unwavering support. You allow us to continue offering a valuable service to our seniors and community, as well as focus on what we feel is our Main Thing: Operating and caring for one another as a FAMILY.
