Foster Care Fundraiser - by Pastor James Taylor

When kids enter foster care, they often leave everything behind—family, friends, clothes, toys, even pets. New Mercy Outreach can’t replace what they’ve lost, but they do everything they can to show these kids they’re seen, valued, and loved.

They work hard to make each child feel special—whether it’s by meeting a personal wish, giving them something fun like a stuffed animal or a bike, or bringing everyone together for events with games, food, and prizes.

On top of meeting regular needs like clothing and holiday gifts, they’re currently funding an unfunded summer program to keep kids off the streets and away from constant electronics use—helping them stay active and engaged in their community. They also run an Independent Living program that supports youth who’ve aged out of foster care but still need help building stable, independent lives.

It’s not about making up for the past—it’s about giving hope for the future.
