We are raising funds to provide free Conservation Creations Arts & Crafts Workshops for up to 25 people to attend each quarterly workshop. 2026 will be the fifth year we are hosting the workshops, and your donation will buy supplies needed for the craft or art project.
The workshops bring people together in an informal setting where they can learn about topics related to soil and water conservation but also visit with each other, build community, and be creative.
Each workshop consists of an introduction of who we are, programs and services we provide, an educational program related to the craft or art project we make, trivia related to the topic, and a project leader. Each evening is fun and educational!
We currently charge a nominal fee ($12 per person) to help cover workshop supplies. At $12 per person, some find it unaffordable. If the workshops are free, we hope any barriers to attending will be dropped so we may educate more people about the importance and need for soil and water conservation in a fun and engaging manner.
Here are a few comments from past workshop participants:
"I love how much Christine knew about growing herbs, information about them and that she had personal stories with them. I could have listened to her longer, very informative." Danto Yanez; "Very informative! All speakers! Great guest speaker for newbies and seasoned gardeners. Even took home a nice recipe." Brooklyn Leach.
"Great workshop. Location and craft were excellent." Diana Freer
"Wasn't sure what to expect. It was fun and informative." Marilyn Kempf
"Have learned a lot at each workshop and have fun, too! " Heidi Sanderson
