Raising money to support the RCSO Dive Team
We have an exciting opportunity to support the Richland County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team through the Richland County Sheriff’s Office Fund at the Richland County Foundation — and to let you know your gift can go twice as far right now.Thanks to a generous donor, every dollar given will be matched up to $10,000. This challenge match is a powerful way to show your appreciation for local law enforcement and help meet a critical need.
The RCSO Dive Team has served this community for over 50 years. It is the only water search and rescue unit in the county — a vital resource in emergencies and rescue missions. But the team’s equipment is outdated and in urgent need of replacement.
We’re hoping to raise $17,088 to fully outfit all six divers with essential gear, including wetsuits, flippers, and masks. Any funds raised beyond this goal will be used to repair the team’s pontoon boat, which also plays a key role in rescue operations.
