Light Up Mansfield! Bringing holiday cheer to Downtown Mansfield with festive lights

$425

raised by 4 people

$5,000 goal

Part of the Beautification Sector of RCDG, the Holiday Lights committee is working to create holiday magic downtown this year and in years to come.

A few years ago, funds were raised to refurbish our oldest holiday wreaths. Now all of our downtown streetlight wreaths have LED warm white lights and new greenery.

In 2022, the RCDG Holiday Lights sector and the New Year’s Eve committee merged. After a successful New Year’s Eve Celebration in Central Park last year, the committee sought to ensure that the popular ball drop and fireworks display becomes an annual tradition in downtown Mansfield.

The committee works to expand and improve the festive lighting in Central Park and to create new displays along downtown corridors. Adding a little at a time, we intend to transform downtown Mansfield into a winter wonderland during the dark and dreary winter months.

Goals for 2022 include:

  1. Festive lighting displays at Downtown entry points.
  2. Illuminating the new downtown parking lot on the corner of Park Avenue West and South Mulberry Street.
  3. Collaborating with City Parks Department to illuminate Central Park.
  4. Coordinating the annual New Year’s Eve Celebration in Central Park to include the annual ball drop from the Park National Bank Building and fireworks display.

Please consider donating today to help light up Mansfield and ring in the new year!
