The LeaderRichland program is a joint project of The Ohio State University - Mansfield, North Central State College and Richland Community Development Group (RCDG). This collaborative project brings area business and community leaders together with middle school students for a day of sharing dreams, possibilities, and opportunities. Students visit with various community leaders and walk our local college campus to experience the potential that is their future. This direct connection provides our young students with strong role models, encourages accomplishment in the academic and personal lives of students and demonstrates the possibilities that exist in a professional world right here in Richland County.
The goals of LeaderRichland are:
- Strengthen school district’s standing among the community and private sector
- Encourage students to think about personal goals and aspirations
- Provide a roadmap to achieving success
- Connect a network of role models and professionals to area students
