Make a donation on Richland Gives
Early giving starts Monday, November 18th at 7 a.m ET and runs up until the Richland Gives event on Tuesday, December 3rd. The giving day takes place on December 3rd from 7 a.m ET - 7 p.m ET.
To make a donation, search for the nonprofit you want to support, then click "donate" to enter the appropriate donation information. Within the donate form you can select your donation amount, choose to hide your name or dollar amount from public display, or add a dedication. If you select to hide your name or amount from public display that information will not be displayed publicly, however, the donation recipient will still have access to this information.
The fees will be lower this year. The Richland County Foundation is covering the platform fees, so you will only be charged the credit card fees plus .30 per transaction. The minimum dollar donation for Richland Gives is $10.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Select the 'payment method' dropdown menu in the checkout form to select your preferred payment method. Payments can be made via Debit, Credit, Paypal/Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bank Account (for donations of 100 dollars or more), or Donor Advised or Other Managed Funds.
Do you have a Donor Advised Fund?
If you plan to advise a gift through a third-party institution you can enter information about your intended gift by selecting the 'Donor Advised or Other Managed Funds' payment method within the checkout.
Please note, by selecting this option no funds or payments will be made or collected via the Mightycause platform. Your recorded donation commitment will be added to the organization's total, and the organization will be notified of your commitment.
It is the responsibility of the donor, nonprofit, and relationship manager to work directly with the organization to follow up on fulfilling payment.
Find a Nonprofit
Head to the Search to find a participating nonprofit.
Use the Filters to narrow in on a nonprofit you would like to support. From the Cause Type menu you can browse Organizations, Fundraisers and other P2P campaigns. Categories will bring up organizations that fit certain mission areas. You can also select "Donations Matched" to find nonprofits with live matches to help your donor dollars go even further.

Your peer-to-peer fundraising page is a fundraiser where all funds go directly to the non-profit selected!
To create a P2P campaign on Richland Gives, head to the search and find the nonprofit you would like to campaign for. Once you have selected the organization, you will be taken to their organization page.
Click the “Fundraise” button to begin the creation process. When you click “Fundraise” from the organization page, your fundraiser will automatically be linked to the charity. If you haven't logged in or set up an account yet, you will be asked to login or set up an account.
Once you are logged in, select "Get Started." You’re now ready to start creating your page! Select "Build Your Fundraiser."
