Zoe’s Learning Center is an After-School enrichment program for At-Risk Youth in the Mansfield community. The program has been in operation since September, 2017 at 105 Reba Avenue (right across from the previous Prospect Elementary). We serve approximately 22 children ages 5 through 12 each school year, weekly Monday through Thursday from 230p - 530p. Zoe’s attendees are from Woodland Elementary School, Malabar Intermediate, and Foundations for Living along with other local schools. In addition to homework assistance, we also provide free meals (in cooperation with the Cleveland Food Bank/Kid's Cafe, Kingdom Grace Fellowship Church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church), mentoring, tutoring, reading activities, positive adult interaction, and a free snack/beverage for each child to take home every day. We also sponsor a yearly summer field trip that exposes students supplemental learning at science centers, zoos, and other state located destinations (i.e. Center of Science and Industry, Cleveland Zoo, etc.) . We have recently partnered with NECIC to sponsor local field trips for our students to the Richland County Public Library and Mansfield City School District community events (Peace on My Block initiative for elementary aged students). Zoe's Learning Center is a local, self-sufficient, and non-state supported organization with a board of directors, two employees, and a minimum of six volunteers who lovingly tutor, supervise, and encourage each student. Thank you for your support!
