❤️ Help Us Help Our Neighbors Experiencing Homelessness

At Truth Ministries, we are working every day to help people in our community who are experiencing homelessness and difficult circumstances. There are so many needs, and we are continually looking for ways to meet people where they are and help them take the next step toward stability.

But we cannot do it alone.

🏠 Addy's Attic Thrift Store

Our thrift store, Addy's Attic, is located at 280 Marion Avenue.

People experiencing homelessness can come to Addy's Attic during our regular business hours and receive needed clothing, toiletries, blankets, and other essential items at no cost.

At the same time, members of our community can shop at Addy's Attic. The money raised through those purchases helps support the ministry.

Our thrift store helps us pay the rent and utilities for the store, and when funds are available beyond those expenses, we use them to help support our other outreach efforts, including Elijah's House.

🏡 Elijah's House

We operate Elijah's House, a Transitional Discipleship House on Third Street, where six men currently live.

Our goal is to provide these men with a safe place to live while they work toward greater stability, independence, and a new direction for their lives.

This home gives them more than a roof over their heads. It gives them an opportunity to be part of a supportive community and work toward a better future.

❄️ Our Warming Center

When temperatures drop and the weather becomes dangerous, we open our Warming Center from 7 PM to 7 AM to provide people experiencing homelessness with a warm and safe place to stay overnight.

For someone who has nowhere else to go, a warm room can make an enormous difference.

🚌 Helping People Get Back Home

Sometimes the best help we can provide is helping someone get back to a safe place where they have family or other support.

When funding is available, we help purchase bus and airline tickets for people experiencing homelessness who have become displaced and need help returning home.

There are also times when someone simply needs a safe place to stay for a night or two, and we are able to provide motel rooms when funds allow.

These needs can arise unexpectedly, and our ability to help depends on the financial support we receive.

❤️ There Is So Much More We Want to Do

The needs in our community are great, and we want to be able to say yes when someone comes through our doors asking for help.

Your support helps make that possible.

We can use financial donations to help provide:

• Warm shelter during extreme temperatures
• Clothing and shoes
• Toiletries and personal care items
• Food and other basic necessities
• Motel rooms when needed
• Bus tickets and airline tickets to help people return home
• Support for Elijah's House
• Supplies needed to keep our outreach programs operating

We also greatly appreciate donations of needed supplies, including:

• Toilet paper
• Paper towels
• Cleaning supplies
• New men's and women's undergarments
• Personal care and hygiene items
• Other essential items for people experiencing homelessness

💙 Monthly Support Makes a Difference

While one-time gifts are incredibly helpful, monthly support is especially valuable. It gives us a more dependable source of funding so we can continue helping people throughout the year and be prepared when unexpected needs arise.

Every dollar, every donated item, every purchase at Addy's Attic, and every person who shares our mission helps us continue this work.

Our goal is to raise $25,000.

We have so much more we want to do for the homeless in our community.
