JOIN FRIENDLY HOUSE AS WE CELEBRATE KIDS

YOUR GIFT MAKES AN IMPACT TODAY!

Join your community in giving back to your favorite local non-profit organization - Friendly House! You, our community, has helped raised over $110,000 for the Friendly House during Richland Gives since 2016. Help us continue this momentum by making online donations to Friendly House beginning November 18 at 7:00AM and ending on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd until 7:00PM.

Friendly House, a United Way of Richland County Agency, supports the youth and families in our community by providing Pre-School for ages 3-5, Afterschool and Summer Fun programs for ages 5-12, swim lessons, open gym, weight room and aquatic programs, monthly senior citizen luncheons, and many programs coordinating with other community outreach services.  Friendly House also owns and operates two summer camps, Happy Hollow Day Camp and Hidden Hollow Resident Camp, where campers and counselors make lasting memories and forever friendships.  All made possible with your altruism.

MISSION STATEMENT:  Directing programs toward the strengthening of family life and character building by providing recreational, educational, health and fitness, crime prevention, pre-school and camping programs to our immediate neighborhood and our community as a whole, at a cost that most can afford.

Friendly House relies on our wonderful donors so we can meet our mission each year.  We are unable to meet our mission without the generosity of our community, our neighbors, friends and alumni.  Every dollar we raise goes directly into our programs to upkeep our facilities for the children we serve today and tomorrow.

BY THE NUMBERS:  Our numbers show the impact that we have made over the last 130 years and the difference we make each day. Friendly House began in Richland County as the "Peoples Mission" in 1894. We were reorganized as Friendly House in 1912.  Friendly House offered the first free Kindergarten in 1918 and became a charter member of the United Way of Richland County in 1920. Today, Friendly House remains a vital part of the Mansfield community, providing valuable resources and support to families and children. Our largest program - the Afterschool Program - is currently fully enrolled and has a wait list.

As of the end of September, Friendly House has served 50,969 individuals compared to 43,035 for the entirety of 2023.   Friendly House has provided 39,521 meals through September compared to 37,170 in all of 2023.   So far we have transported 13,643 children, with three months still to be reported.   As the need increases, those we serve increases. Costs continue to rise, and yet Friendly House is still able to keep our client costs as low as possible. A week of Preschool & Daycare is only $70.  The Afterschool and/or Summer Fun Program as well as our Swim Lessons are only $50 for the entire program session.  A week at Happy Hollow Day Camp is $125.  Many of our families are in need of financial assistance.  We are able to give financial assistance because of you.

GIVE our children a safe, fun place to be kids. Please GIVE generously.  Start GIVING on November 18th at 7:00 a.m. through December 3rd at 7:00 p.m.

THANK YOU!!!
