Shelby Help Line Ministries sole purpose is to help members of our community in times of need, whether they be great or small. Our ministries include; budget classes, utility assistance, clothing and household items, hygiene kits, community meals, food pantry, children's free summer lunches, Christmas food boxes and meat vouchers, Christmas toys for children partnered with Salvation Army, medical equipment, third party interviews for other agencies, information and referral for clients, warming and cooling center, and Community Health Worker services. In addition we share an office space with Salvation Army.

The unique thing about Shelby Help Line Ministries is that we are able to speak with individuals one on one and help them walk through difficult seasons of life. If our agency is not able to assist them with their need, we then contact other agencies who can. We are partnered with several non-profits in our community and also Richland County to be able to serve them. Our ministry stands as a beacon of HOPE. Anyone can come into our facility and be met where they are without discrimination. Our goal is to get them aid anyway that we can while offering hope and encouragement. We are able to pray with each person, or pray for them once contact is made.

2025 Statistics; financial aid for utilities, 155 household received assistance totaling $34,100; budget classes, 76 individuals attended; clothing, 2,453 households made requests; medical equipment, 137 items requested; food pantry, 48 families received emergency food boxes; community meals, 1,104 meals were served; children's free summer lunches, 6,581 meals served; back-to-school supplies & clothing, 194 received supplies and 150 children received shoes vouchers; community Christmas program, 221 households totaling 647 individuals, 279 of which were children; and for information and referrals 14,554 requests were made.
