Twenty-three years ago, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Richland County was established to provide hope and resources for those with mental illness. Since then, we have been a beacon of hope for thousands of families. Every day, we stand alongside those who are struggling, offering the tools and support they need to face their mental health challenges. BUT THE FIGHT ISN'T OVER! The stigma surrounding mental illness still holds too many people back from seeking the help they deserve. Yet, we can foster hope through our three pillars of SUPPORT, EDUCATION, and ADVOCACY. Hope for a future where no one feels alone. Hope for individuals, families, children, and communities in Richland County.

Educating on Mental Health   EDUCATION & ADVOCACY

Approximately 1 in 6 youth aged 6-17 experience a mental health condition each year. Half of all mental health conditions begin by age 14, and 75% begin by age 24.

At NAMI Richland County, we are passionate about empowering youth to break the silence surrounding mental health. By educating them on recognizing the signs of mental health challenges and understanding crisis intervention, we equip the next generation with the knowledge and confidence to seek help and support others. Through NAMI's Ending the Silence presentation, we provide resources that create a culture of openness and compassion. Your support helps us continue this important work and make a lasting impact on young lives in our community.

Because of YOUR support, we can offer additional Ending The Silence presentations at local schools and bring hope to a student struggling with depression.

YOUR support will help bring NAMI Basics to families, empowering parents and caregivers of children with mental health conditions to better understand, support, and advocate for their child's well-being.

YOUR support will help us hold one more Family-to-Family class and guide a father in communicating and encouraging his suffering son.

We THANK YOU for supporting and uplifting your community.
