Mansfield Rotary Club - Turn the Page for Malabar

Help Rotary Fill the Library at Malabar Intermediate School.

At Malabar Intermediate School, students keep the books they want most checked out. The newest Dog Man, the Wings of Fire graphic novels, Jason Reynolds’ Track series: when one comes back, another reader is already waiting for it.

This year, the Rotary Club of Mansfield is teaming up with the school librarian to fill her wish list of 83 titles, with three new hardback copies of each: one checked out, one on hold and one on the shelf. That’s 249 books. Members are already buying books from the list, and from November 1 through December 31 the club will buy one book every week with the name of that week’s speaker inside the cover. Your gift on Richland Gives helps us finish the list and start a fund to bring one of these authors to Malabar to meet the students who read their books.

Why This Matters

• Readers are made by having the next book ready when they want it.
• Hardback copies hold up to years of checkouts by students in our own community.
• An author visit shows students that the people behind their favorite books are real, and that they could be one too.
• Supporting young readers in Mansfield is Rotary’s Service Above Self in action.

Every contribution big or small makes a direct impact.

✅ Donate: about $60 puts three copies of one book on the shelf, and $25 puts one new hardback there

Thank you for helping Malabar Intermediate School's readers, one book at a time!
