Love Our Hero's Inc.

Behind every veteran in crisis is a story of sacrifice: Today you can choose to be the person who rescues them.

Love Our Hero's didn't start with a budget or a building- we started with a simple, faith-led calling to ensure that no veteran in our community falls through the cracks due to a financial hardship. Right now in Richland County, our brave veterans are hitting hard times. A sudden medical bill or lost job can mean the difference between paying rent or getting groceries for their family.  The heroes who once protected our country shouldn't have to fight these battles alone. At Love Our Hero's, Our mission is simple: zero-cost, immediate relief to veterans facing a finical hardship.

ACTION & IMPACT:

• Combats food insecurity by providing emergency food assistance
• Prevents veteran homelessness through rapid rehousing initiatives, covering upfront rent deposits and initial leasing costs.
• Bridges transportation gaps by offering reliable transit vouchers and fuel assistance, ensuring veterans can attend critical appointments.
• Supplies life-enhancing medical equipment to wounded and aging veterans, restoring their mobility, independence, and safety at home.

Oct 8th, 2025 We were able to showcase the power of community and compassion.  A plumbing inspector for Richland Public Health and a housing inspector for the city of Mansfield Permitting and Development, reached out to our organization regarding a veteran in urgent need of assistance. His home had been condemned but these local leaders were determined to prevent him from homelessness. They contacted our organization and we sprang into action. Love Our Hero's along with Turtle Creek Apartments, and JDog Removal & Hauling we were able to secure an apartment, provide & deliver household furnishings, stocked his refrigerator & covered essential bills for 2 months to alleviate financial strain only 4 days after receiving the initial referral.

LOH bridges the gap between crisis and stability.  We answer the call, by meeting veterans exactly where they are. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our nation's service members, easing the heavy burdens they were never meant to bear alone. We can't complete this mission without each and every one of you. Be the lifeline they need- join our mission and give today.
